King Abdulaziz University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, under the supervision of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation, organized the National University Volleyball Championship on Thursday, 27 February 2026. The tournament was held at the University Sports Village courts, with the participation of eight universities from various regions of the Kingdom.
Participating universities included King Faisal University, University of Jeddah, King Khalid University, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, Qassim University, Al-Baha University, King Saud University, and King Abdulaziz University as the host institution.
On the first day, Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University defeated Qassim University 3-2, while King Faisal University overcame the University of Jeddah by the same score, 3-2. King Abdulaziz University secured a 3-0 victory over King Khalid University, and King Saud University defeated Al-Baha University 3-1.
This championship comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance university sports activities and provide students with opportunities to showcase their skills in a competitive environment that enhances their physical and technical development, reinforcing the role of university sports in discovering and developing talent.
